Navidad en el Barrio was established in 1972 and has continued to provide Christmas dinner’s to thousands of families in Southern California every year.
Since 2004, the Allen Lund Company has supported the efforts of Navidad en el Barrio, an organization dedicated to helping communities around the Los Angeles area. Started by former NFL player, Danny Villanueva, local Hispanic radio, and students from UCLA, their mission was to provide a robust Christmas dinner to families in Southern California. This year, 10,000 families were fed throughout Southern California.
“Every year, and this marks our 21st, we look forward to working with Navidad en el Barrio to collect, organize, and distribute groceries for families to make a healthy Christmas dinner. We also rely on our network of truck drivers to move the donations,” said Nora Trueblood, Director of Marketing at ALC.
Since 2004, ALC has provided transportation and accumulated all the food products for the Christmas Dinner groceries. Additionally, ALC provided volunteers at two Catholic Charities sites, at The Society of St. Vincent de Paul and the staging warehouse. 34 organizations distributed to families.

We provide customer contacts, logistics, and our people are involved directly with the assembly and distribution of the food to those who need help at the holidays.
